Foxe shows history of Sanderson

Embracing nostalgia, while moving ever forward, acclaimed photographer and stylist Damian Foxe has focused his lens on the intricate beauty of Sanderson’s designs in a new campaign.

Revealed in a series of images, Foxe has captured the notable history and endless permutations of memorable prints and patterns from past and present.

Four concepts are revealed as bold and beautiful, muse-like moments, given roots in Sanderson’s legacy and taking flight through the mastery of the camera, enduringly unique with everlasting beauty. From perennial favourites including Stapleton Park to the fresh newness of Arboretum, the designs undulate from foreground to back in an exploration of Sanderson’s collections.

The ‘dresses’ were made by Foxe from wallpapers to show the heritage and nostalgia of the Sanderson wallpapers through the years.

‘A visit to the Sanderson HQ is like stepping into a completely different universe. With its vast and resplendent archive and its incredible production facilities… where print and pattern take pride of place and a richly layered story starts to unfold. In this project I wanted to encapsulate the sense of joy and exuberance that abounds in these multi-layered histories, but the message remains simple, there is beauty in pattern and the more fully you embrace it, the more profound the messaging becomes,’ says Foxe.
