The details of Dave Francis’ funeral have been announced.
The funeral of will be held on 24 May at 12.30pm at St Chads Church, Poulton le Lylde, Lancashire.
This will be followed by the comital at Carlton crematorium for family only.
Julie and Elizabeth Francis would then like to invite attendees to Singleton Lodge Country House, Lodge Lane, Singleton to celebrate and remember the life of Dave Francis.
Family flowers only but donations if desired to Brian House children’s hospice, Bispham, Blackpool.
Meanwhile Tony Brewer, Likewise ceo and former Headlam chief executive has paid tribute to Francis.
‘I first met Dave in 1989 when interviewing him for the Yorkshire sales representative position at Rolfe & West in Manchester. Even as a young man setting out on his career he had great stature and maturity.
‘He very quickly became a key member of the business, an extremely good salesman and established fantastic customer relationships.
‘When starting Headlam we recruited Dave to run Hadfield’s in Stockport with John Clark. His stature developed and he became a natural leader. If Dave had not been a flooring salesman and leader of people, he could have had a very successful career in after dinner speaking! Not sure about his goal keeping skills but a great personality with brilliant recollection and memory, particularly when speaking in public.
‘He was 100% someone you would want in the same team and by your side, particularly to face the challenges of business or life in general. Dave, a real character with an infectious laugh, will be genuinely missed by all that knew him.’
