Denon occupied Garden Senato to show its latest designs.
Among the outdoor furniture introductions was Papyon, by Arnd Küchel.
‘The simplicity of nature is always my first stimulus. For Papyon, it was the shape and the lightweight, filigree-like structure of a butterfly that inspired me,’ he says.
Woven entirely by hand, the lounge chair and accompanying footstool are created using two distinct weaving textures, combined with an innovative technique. In nature, harmony is created through contrasts, and the two distinct colourways for Papyon encapsulate this: Nectar combines warm reds and oranges while Moonlake is created from refreshing blues.
