Next month’s Furniture China and Maison Shanghai exhibitions have been pushed back to later in the year.
The shows, which were due to be held from 7-11 and 7-10 September respectively, will now be held from 28-31 December at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
‘We apologise for any inconvenience this change in dates will cause but the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and partners is always our top priority. Following the latest advice from local authorities on holding large gatherings, due to COVID-19, and after consulting with our industry partners, we feel the new dates will provide a much better environment and experience for our community to meet and do business,’ says the organisers.
‘Our 2021 Expo has already received 109,541 pre-registered attendees, demonstrating the desire within our industry to come together and connect. We will shortly announce plans to keep the community connected whilst the in-person event is unable to take place. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their strong support, understanding and trust. Despite not being able to meet in person in September at Shanghai as planned, we are confident it will be worth the wait for when we can reconvene and reconnect later in 2021.’
Earlier this month the 48th edition of CIFF Shanghai was moved from 3-6 September to 25-28 September. A spokeman for the organiser said the show would not be re-sheduled for a second time.
