Furniture inflation increases 

The rate of inflation on furniture has increased for the first time in more than a year.

Since November 2022, the rate for household furniture has steadily dropped from 13.2%, but in November 2023 it rose from 2.2% to 2.4%.

The Office for National Statistics data also showed an increase in prices for garden furniture, up from 3.9% to 4.3%.

The rate for lighting jumped from 1.2% to 4.2%.

Furnishing fabrics saw price rise climb from 2.8% to 3.1% and table and bathroom linen increases rose from 2.3% to 3%, but bed linen saw increases drop from 2.1% to 0.6%.
