Furniture Village has again been named as Retail Family Business of the Year.
The chain reclaimed the title it won in 2020, 2022 and 2024 at the Family Business of the Year Awards, organised by Family Business United.
Agricultural machinery supplier Ernest Doe & Sons was runner-up.
‘We’re absolutely delighted to have won Family Business of the Year. It’s a huge honour to win and a proud moment for everyone at Furniture Village. As a family-owned business, we have always believed that sustainable success comes from staying true to our values, investing in our people and delivering a fantastic shopping experience for our customers. This award belongs to the whole Furniture Village family,’ says Charlie Harrison, Furniture Village md.
Judging criteria included charitable activities, family values, innovation and how much involvement family members play in business operations.
‘Furniture Village is a fantastic winner of the retail award, successfully balancing the blend of scale with family ethos. Family leadership into the second generation provides continuity, passion and the ongoing development of a uniquely positive culture as a family firm with a strong values framework and compelling articulation of purpose, people and long-term ownership,’ says Paul Andrews, Family Business United ceo and founder
‘It also promotes family ownership as a real, lived differentiator, focused on the customer experience. It is a business that cares about its people, cares about its customers and continues to invest in the future as a family business and is a deserving winner of this award.’
