Furniture and flooring chain Gillies has submitted a planning application for a new store in Inverness.
The six store chain has lodged an application with Highland Council for a 16,140sqft store on the city’s Longman Road.
The site is currently home to Arnold Clark Inverness BMW.
If the change of use is approved, the store would be spread across the ground floor and mezzanine.
Gillies previously secured planning permission to expand its Chapel Street, Inverness store in 2021, but those have expired.
The 130-year-old chain has stores in Broughty Ferry, Dingwall, Elgin (Grampian Furnishers), Aberdeen and Perth.
The company has been approached for comment.
