Headlam boosts board

Headlam has strengthened its board but is still looking for a cfo.

Robin Williams and Jemima Bird have joined as non-executive directors, succeeding Amanda Aldridge and Simon King.

However, the group is no nearer securing a successor to Chris Payne who was promoted to ceo in March.

Bird is founder of strategy and creative agency Finch, a former Coop executive and Carpetright non-executive director and director of Revolution Bars. Williams has had a career with listed packaging and building materials companies. Following their appointment Stephen Bird has become senior independent director.

‘Reflecting the very tight labour market for high calibre candidates, the company is still in the process of appointing a permanent cfo. While the board is keen to make an appointment, it will not rush unnecessarily, with the company having a very competent and comprehensive finance team in place supported by Patrick Butcher as interim cfo,’ the group says.
