Leo Rugs collaborated with Egyptian artist Somaya Soliman to produce Heritage in Motion.
The creation uses Leo Rugs’ Folklore Finesse as a canvas for Soliman as she adds her acrylic art as part of the company’s Woven Expressions: A New Artful Journey on Rugs collection.
The design sees the rug feature a lifelike white horse, with the intricate Persian motifs of the rug providing a striking cultural backdrop, creating a harmonious balance between tradition and contemporary art.

She is a celebrated Egyptian visual artist and the founder of the Somaya Soliman Gallery. Her work explores the intricate relationships between human emotion, cultural identity, and the environment. Known for her ability to merge tradition with modernity, Soliman’s art spans multiple techniques, including abstract expressionism, realism, and figurative art.
