Hypnos has donated £2,000 to The Furniture Makers’ Company to mark its 120th anniversary.
The fifth-generation bed manufacturer was established just a year after the charity’s benevolent fund.
Brian Ahmern, FMC master accepted the cheque from David Baldry, Hypnos group md during the manufacturer’s champagne reception at the Bed Show, which featured an appearance via video from Peter Keen, Hypnos chairman. Visitors were able to raise a glass to mark Keen’s 80th year and 60th year at the company.
‘The Furniture Makers’ Company has a longstanding commitment to support those less fortunate in our industry. It’s a great pleasure to present the cheque to Brian and The Furniture Makers’ Company, so that the charity can continue improving the lives of people within our industry when they need it most,’ says Baldry.
‘We are delighted to have received this sizeable donation from Hypnos, holder of our Manufacturing Guild Mark, and its partners. We would like to thank all those who have raised funds for our valuable work in supporting the industry in many ways, including providing for industry members most in need,’ says Ahern.
