Ikea has introduced an entry policy for groups of people at its Brighton store.
The move follows anecdotal reports of poor behaviour from youngsters. The chain has not detailed what it classifies as a group visiting the city-centre branch.
‘We want all customers to feel welcome and safe. After a number of recent incidents which have affected other customers and our co-workers’ wellbeing, we have felt the need to introduce a precautionary measure to avoid gatherings of larger groups,’ says the chain.
‘We remain committed to handling situations with fairness and sensitivity.’
The store opened in August (pictured).
