Ikea will open its latest Plan and Order store next month.
The chain will open on the Clifton Moor Retail Park, York on 29 August.
Plan and Order Points are smaller stores, designed to provide customers with bespoke kitchen and storage planning services. Customers can access in-depth home furnishing advice from planning specialists, who can assist them in planning, purchasing, and installing kitchens, bedroom and living room storage.
The York store totals just under 11,000sqft with 4,088sqft of customer space. It will employ 12 staff, including six planning specialists. Customers can purchase from a range of 100 home furnishing accessories, available for immediate takeaway. The store will showcase 11 different kitchens and 10 PAX wardrobe solutions and an appliance studio.
‘Our Plan and Order Points offer the perfect space for customers to create their ideal kitchen or storage setup. Beyond planning, these locations also make it easier for those living further from our Hull (pictured), Leeds, and Sheffield stores to access our full range, whether they’re shopping for a new sofa, bed, or any other favourite,’ says Conor Doherty, Ikea market manager.
The chain will also open a city store in Brighton next month and another Plan and Order Point in Dundee and small stores in Norwich and Chester later this year.
