Furniture prices increased in October, the first rise since December 2023.
The CPI inflation rate for household furniture was 0.5% in October, compared with -0.7% in September, according to ONS data.
For garden furniture deflation remained, but the rate fell for the sixth successive month.
The annual rate for October was -11.4%, down from September’s -12.7% and less than half of what it was in April.
Lighting also saw deflation continue but at a much reduced rate of -0.5% compared with September’s -3.9%.
