The National Bed Federation has unveiled an online parody-style video to mark the launch of National Bed Month, positioning the bed as a ‘miracle product’ that provides numerous positive benefits to health and wellbeing.
The video is a nod to the familiar TV adverts that advertise health products claiming to transform consumers’ lives. It is only at the end of the video that the ‘miracle product’ is revealed, encouraging the viewer to start their journey to a better life by seeking further information and guidance on bed buying from its consumer advice website bedadvice.co.uk.
‘We’re thrilled our new National Bed Month video is finally available to watch on our NBF and Bed Advice UK social media and websites. By using humour and keeping the product reveal until the end of the video, we hope to convey the crucial message that a comfortable and supportive bed not only means we’re more likely to sleep better, but many aspects of our life can be positively impacted,’ says Simon Williams, NBF head of marketing and membership.
‘We hope the video prompts the viewer to pause and consider if their bed still serves them, and if not, know where to go to seek help.
‘The video is part of a free marketing toolkit, which we strongly encourage the bed trade to download from our marketing support page on the NBF website.’
