LVT supplier J2 Flooring has bought LVT modification specialist VAR Technology.
The deal sees Shaun Baston, VAR Technology founder become a director and shareholder in the enlarged company.

VAR has developed a reputation in LVT modification, particularly in the creation of custom flooring formats. Its ability to cut LVT into intricate shapes, patterns, and layouts — including geometric tiles, parquet effects, and bespoke designs has brought success with distributors, interior designers, and architectural firms.

Latham says the deal also supports its aim to invest in the UK manufacturing base; reduce reliance on extended global supply chains; develop tighter quality control throughout its operations; significantly reduce lead times and offer customers greater responsiveness.
