Likewise has revealed plans to expand its delivery fleet beyond 150 vehicles.
The flooring wholesaler has received the first of 30 trucks on order – purchased rather than leased – at its Glasgow distribution centre .
A further 14 trucks are on order for its Valley Wholesale Carpets subsidiary, following on from ten delivered last year.
The group has plans to have 158 vehicles by the end of the year.
‘This substantial investment very much reflects our commitment and confidence in the future growth of the group. It is the group’s future policy to purchase trucks rather than lease in order to be more cost effective and further strengthen the balance sheet,’ says Tony Brewer, Likewise chief executive.
