Likewise sees higher half-year sales and market share gain

Flooring distribution group Likewise has told shareholders that it has continued to see strong sales growth, although the increases have eased.

Sales increased by 8.5% in the six months to 18 June 2024, with sales in the Likewise branded businesses increasing by 14.6% (including a 19.7% sales increase for Likewise Floors).

This compares with rises of 8.7% and 15.3% respectively in the four months to the end of April.

‘While market conditions remain challenging, Likewise is confident of further overall sales increases in the traditionally busier second half of the year. Likewise Group is committed to investing in sales and marketing, with an improving return anticipated in the coming years as we recognise there are many opportunities before us in the UK flooring market. Furthermore, the board believes this will ultimately create a much larger business in future years,’ says Tony Brewer, Likewise chief executive.
