Furniture and beds chain Loaf is set to open its 11th store.
The 4,100sqft branch on Essex Road, Islington, north London will open on 17 July.
The company has again enlisted Studio Jill in the design of the branch, after its involvement with the Chiswick, west London store. It has Loaf’s first Movie Lounge with free films and popcorn and continues its child and dog friendly approach, including a colouring-in area.
It will be Loaf’s fourth in the capital. The retailer had hit 11 stores in August 2024 with the opening of its Chiswick, west London branch but this was reduced to ten with the closure of what had been its third branch, in Spitalfields, east London. The chain says it plans to move to a larger outlet in the area.
‘Opening in Islington marks another exciting step in our London expansion. We’re continuing to grow our presence across the city, making it easier for people to experience what we’re all about: laid-back comfort, thoughtful design, and a space to properly unwind,’ says Sam Perkins, Loaf ceo.
Its original Battersea store, which opened in 2015 and was renovated in 2019, is being revamped.
