Among Calligaris’ debuts at Salone was the Ribbon table.
The design, by Bernhardt&Vella, emerges from the exploration of fluid forms and materials with distinctive personalities, such as painted metal and ribbed glass. Its base consists of a metal ribbon that bends to create rounded curves, supporting the glass top characterized by an irregular texture reminiscent of rippling water.
Bernhardt&Vella’s influence was also seen elsewhere at the show, with the Capri sofa and chair and Elba coffee tables for Rugiano and the stand design for Arflex.
