Flooring buying group Metro has appointed the successor to long-time general manager Steve Depport (pictured).
Graham Harris, former Manx Carpets and Kingsmead executive will join the group in January, before succeeding Depport at the end of March.
‘With nearly 30 years of experience in the flooring trade, most recently with Lusotufo/Causeway Carpets as commercial manager and prior to that at Kingsmead, I am confident we have the right person to continue to take the Metro Group forward,’ says Depport.
‘Away from work Graham has a young family, coaches his sons football team, acts as an assistant scout leader, likes keeping fit and… supports Manchester United. It was all going so well up to that point. Graham will start in January and work alongside me for three months. That’s the plan but as a keen Everton fan, I will be at Goodison Park on 22 February when they entertain Manchester United, who knows what will happen after that?’
