Mobility move with Oak Tree

Assistive furniture brand Oak Tree Mobility has taken brand extension in a new direction with the launch of a range of mobility scooters.

Its parent Salus Healthcare and sister company furniture manufacturer Signature Motion has introduced the Humfree lightweight scooters and powerchairs, targeting 16.8million potential customers and product cross over.

‘It can be tempting to stay at home rather than be seen using a mobility device in public, but this comes with a health cost: people with disabilities are around three times more likely to experience chronic loneliness than those without, which carries health risks on par with smoking, according to research cited by the UK government. We founded Humfree to change that. We’ve developed and curated a range of lightweight, discreet, and thoughtfully designed mobility scooters that fit naturally into everyday life,’ says Tom Powell, Salus Healthcare ceo.
