National Golf Day raises £6,000 for industry charity

More than £6,000 was raised at the National Golf Day, The Furniture Makers’ Company’s longest running charity event.

Almost 80 golfers took part in the tournament at the Northamptonshire County Golf Club, making it one of the best attended National Golf Days in recent years.

The winners of the competition were: team winner – Jay-Be (pictured); team runner up – AIS; individual winner – Tony Harvey (Castelan); runner up – Paul Mott (KI); nearest the pin – Max Wood-Ives (Hypnos), Rob Sawyer (Castelan) and Paul Newell (Maguire Advisers) and longest drive – Clayton Gore (Savoir Beds).

‘I would like to say a wholehearted thank you to the golfers and our generous sponsors – Biesse UK, FIRA, Graham Marley, Häfele, Hypnos, KI, Maguire Advisers, NEJ Stevenson, Ocee Design and Savoir Beds – who helped make this event a great success. We are delighted that just over £6,000 has been raised for the charity,’ says Tony Attard Furniture Makers’ Company master.

The next National Golf Day is on 20 September 2023.
