The National Bed Federation has reconfirmed plans to go ahead with the 2021 Bed Show at Telford International Centre on 21-22 September.
The annual event, cancelled in 2020 because of the pandemic, will celebrate its 11th outing as the industry’s premiere specialist exhibition.
‘Seeing the exhibition calendar for the first half of 2021 disappear is really sad but we are confident that by September Britain will be getting back on its feet and ready to start doing business again. It’s looking increasingly likely that The Bed Show will provide the industry as a whole with its first major opportunity to get together and see new products and innovations in the flesh for some considerable time,’ says Jessica Alexander, NBF executive director.
‘We expect the government’s vaccination programme to have helped the country turn the corner by September, but we are already gearing up to ensure the show will be fully compliant with any remaining restrictions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of exhibitors and suppliers.’
Organisers also remain hopeful that the show will be combined with the annual bed industry awards at a celebrity hosted gala dinner on the evening of 21 September.
‘With so many shows and exhibitions still being cancelled and postponed we want to give the industry something to look forward to. It will be amazing to once again get together under one roof to celebrate the best the bed industry has to offer.’
