Next are reporting first quarter trading figures are better than expected, and sales for the 13 weeks up until 26th April were up by 11.4% compared to last year, which is £55m ahead of their forecasted revenue. Most of the over performance was attributed to the warmer weather, and expected profit, before taxes was forecast to be £1.08b. Sales in both the UK and overseas was better than expected, but is forecast to be broadly flat for the rest of the year.
