Foam and underlay manufacturer The Vita Group has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum sustainability rating, scoring an industry-leading 83 out of 100.
The accolade places Vita in the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, highlighting its commitment to creating sustainable business practices.
To achieve an EcoVadis Platinum rating companies must be dedicated to integrating sustainability into every aspect of their operations and receive a high evaluation in environment; employment and human rights; ethics; and sustainable procurement.
The group was recognised for implementing technologies and practices to minimise environmental impact; a strong focus on employment rights, diversity, and inclusion within its workforce: embedding sustainability within the workforce through internal campaigns and initiatives such as a bulletin system for sharing best practices across the group was noted; upholding the highest ethical standards, business practices and integration of transparent policies, including a zero-tolerance policy for anti-bribery, corruption, and competition violations, with no cases of child labour, human trafficking, or modern slavery, and no non-compliance notices and investment in tools that ensure the supply chain shares The Vita Group’s commitment to the same sustainability values. The group has developed a bespoke lifecycle analysis tool to optimise supplier data to ensure consistent adherence to sustainability goals and support innovation.
