Profits move past £5m at Chairs Ltd

Profits have moved past £5m at Chairs Ltd, a family owned North West business, which is the UK’s largest trade only furniture and giftware supplier, despite turnover being slightly lower. 

Newly filed results for Chairs Ltd, which trades as Coach House, have revealed that in the year ending 30 September 2023 the Accrington-headquartered business turned over £58.5m, this figure was down from £63.4m the previous year, whilst pre-tax profits have grown from £3.6m, to £5.2m . Gross profit margin was 31.73%,  up from 25.79% the previous year

Commentary from the accounts stated that we are “continuing to increase geographical coverage and capabilities” within our chosen market sectors “while remaining agile enough to embrace fresh opportunities”. 

Looking to the future, they said our objective is to increase our market share by “differentiating ourselves from our competitors while continuing to maintain our excellent availability levels”.

They also stated further expansion of its showrooms is planned.
