Recofloor awards to be in person

Vinyl waste recovery scheme Recofloor has confirmed that its awards will take place in person this year, for the first time in three years.

The event is due to be held at Twickenham Stadium, London on 28 April.

Brian Moore, former England and British and Irish Lions rugby union player turned commentator, will host the event. Moore had been due to host the awards in March 2020 before its pandemic cancellation.

‘We are thrilled to be hosting a physical event again and welcoming back customers, prospects and the flooring/construction sector as a whole to mark the remarkable efforts of Recofloor participants in diverting waste vinyl flooring from landfill,’ says Carla Eslava, Recofloor manager.

‘In 2021, our members excelled in terms of commitment and hard work as we reached our 500tonnes target more than two months early. So, we are on the look-out for inspiring and innovative applications of how Recofloor has made a difference on all types of projects, large and small.’

Entries for the awards are now open and details about the awards categories, how to enter and tickets to attend can be found on the organisation’s website. Non-members are also able to attend the awards.

‘Previous Recofloor award winners have benefited from free publicity that helps to boost their green credentials and business profiles with prospective customers. Our awards event also offers great networking opportunities, so the chance to meet face-to-face again after so many months is eagerly anticipated by all. We look forward to welcoming you.’
