Cumbrian flooring and upholstery retailer Carpet World has reshuffled its presence in the county.
The company has closed its Ashburner Road, Barrow in Furness outlet, which was opened in April 2022 and moved to the town’s Walney Road.
This is where it opened in the former Empire Carpets store in June 2021, and retained the premises as a clearance warehouse when the Ashburner Road unit opened.
2022 also saw it take over the former Empire Carpets store in Morecambe, however this branch has now closed and is undergoing a refurbishment before reopening under new ownership.
Both the Ashburner Road and Morecambe stores had stock clearance sales.
