The value of flooring retail sales rebounded in March.
The value of flooring sales in England, Wales and Scotland jumped by 26.5% compared with February 2024, reaching £1,481,592,000.
Sales leapt by 32.5%, compared with February 2024, reaching £271,061,000.
This is the fourth best performing month after March 2008, March 2022 and September 2022, according to Office for National Statistics data.
Sales were 1.5% lower than March 2023 and 2.5% lower than March 2022.
The figures are not seasonally adjusted, do not take inflation into account and are subject to revision.
