Gallery Direct saw sales edge up last year but profits were more than halved.
The company saw sales rise by 0.5% to £34.79m in the year to 31 December 2020.
Operating profits fell by 3.8% to £2.2m but pre-tax profits dropped from £2m to £987,290 after the closure of Parlane International in May 2020 cost it £1.04m.
‘During 2020 the company continued to trade and perform well, despite the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic. The directors are pleased to report sales consistent with 2019. Net operating profit was also consistent with 2019. During 2021 the business has seen strong performance from the end of 2020 continue into the current year,’ says the company.
