Very Wood turned to Neri&Hu for the Weekend chair collection.
Saturday and Sunday are inspired by the everyday and the worldly. The ash frame unites the two chairs, which both come in bare wood and padded versions. The seats are characterised by distinct elements in a hierarchical relationship: concave backrest that takes advantage of the flexibility of the curved wood to create a comfortable support without added structures; the seat cushion adds comfort by giving a touch of unique identity through various textile options; the base in carved solid wood connects all the elements and harmonises them together.
In an interplay of assonance and dissonance, Saturday is characterised by a backrest with an oblique and shallower cut, while Sunday has a wide, enveloping backrest, which embraces the seat, creating a piece of furniture with an immersive and enveloping atmosphere that allows full relaxation.
