Sanderson agrees further licensing agreement with NEXT

Sanderson Design Group PLC (AIM: SDG), the luxury interior design and furnishings group, announces that its Morris & Co. brand has signed a licensing and supply agreement with the major retailer NEXT for an exciting range of homewares including bedlinen, cushions, ready-made curtains, blinds, rugs, wallpaper and lighting.

This agreement is further to Morris & Co.’s apparel agreement with NEXT, which was signed in November last year. The NEXT range of Morris & Co. women’s, men’s and children’s apparel was launched in May this year and is performing ahead of Group expectations. It is anticipated that the first products under the Morris & Co. homewares agreement, which has an initial three year term, will be launched in early 2022 and will be available online at next.co.uk and in selected NEXT stores.

In addition to working with Morris & Co., NEXT has previously signed licensing agreements with the Group’s Sanderson and Scion brands for homewares. NEXT is also Clarke & Clarke’s key retail channel for the Tess Daly collection of bedlinens, cushions and throws. Lisa Montague, Chief Executive Officer of Sanderson Design Group, commented: “We’re thrilled to sign our latest licensing agreement for the Morris & Co. brand with NEXT, a major retailer with which we have a strong working relationship.

This homewares agreement builds on Morris & Co.’s apparel agreement with NEXT and reinforces the strength of the brand’s licensing potential. We look forward to working with NEXT on this exciting homewares collection.”

Lord Simon Wolfson, NEXT’s Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Morris & Co., with whom we already have an excellent working relationship. We believe the combination of their outstanding designs and enduring brand along with NEXT’s Sourcing, Online and Retail capabilities can deliver exciting new homeware products for consumers in the UK and beyond.”
