Danish homeware retailer Søstrene Grene is set to open its ninth UK store.
The 5,600sqft store on Sheffield’s Cambridge Street will be part of the Heart of the City development.
Founded in 1973, the company operates in 16 countries, through a mixture of company-owned and franchise stores. Søstrene Grene stores feature a labyrinth-style layout, atmospheric lighting and accompanying classical music.
‘We are very happy to be opening a store in Sheffield, as we have been wanting to trade here for a while. We always strive to offer our customers beautiful experiences when they visit a Søstrene Grene store and we are looking forward to bringing some traditional Danish hygge into shoppers’ everyday lives. We wish to contribute with a completely new shopping experience, and we cannot wait to invite our new and existing customers inside for a moment of hygge at the new store,’ says Mikkel Grene, Søstrene Grene ceo and co-owner.
‘We’re so excited to be opening our first Yorkshire store this summer. The Heart of the City is the perfect location for our brand to introduce its affordable price points, aesthetic designs and unique shopping experience to the people of Sheffield,’ says Jonathan Cooper, Søstrene Grene UK joint venture partner.
The official opening of the store has yet to be decided but it is due to open this summer.
