Cabinet and door manufacturer Summerbridge has celebrated the long service of two employees who have been at the company for a quarter of a century.
Christopher Padgett (pictured) now a dispatch operative, joined Summerbridge years ago as a hand router operative while Sheridan Ashley Say a product engineer, first joined the company as a vacuum press operative.
‘It was great to receive a long service award in recognition of my time with Summerbridge – it’s wonderful to feel appreciated, and the award came as such as surprise! I felt really proud, as I take great pride in my job. Summerbridge is a great place to work, we have such a friendly team and I’ve made great friends here who I’ve known for a very long time,’ says Padgett.
‘I was so surprised and overwhelmed when I won the award. I absolutely love my role at Summerbridge – the team are absolutely wonderful, and there’s such a relaxed atmosphere. We have a great product, and there’s a real opportunity for people to make their mark and contribute to driving the growth of the company, which is really rewarding,’ says Say.
Say was gifted with aviation lessons, whilst Padgett was gifted Amazon vouchers.
‘We were delighted to award Sheridan and Christopher with their long service awards. They have played an integral role in the company over the last 25 years, and we wanted to give recognition of their hard work and contributions to the company,’ says Marcin Wegerski, Summerbridge operations manager.
