Upholstery producer Tamarisk Designs has recruited Suzanne O’Flynn as design director.
O’Flynn joins the Hill Cross Group subsidiary with more than three decades in the interiors and textiles industry, including John Sankey, having worked with retailers including Heal’s, Liberty and John Lewis.
O’Flynn, who will be based at Tamarisk’s newly refurbished showroom in Long Eaton, will focus on steering product development, ‘ensuring the brand continues to deliver design excellence while maintaining the hallmarks of quality, scalability, and craftsmanship.’ She will also collaborate closely with Tamarisk’s supplier network ‘to bring new design concepts to life and uphold the company’s reputation for British-made excellence.’
‘We’re really proud to have attracted someone of Suzanne’s calibre and experience to join the Tamarisk team. She brings a wealth of experience in fabric and furniture and a strong track record of turning ideas into desirable and commercial products. Her skills, expertise and network will be instrumental in shaping the future of our product portfolio as we look to expand the business and develop our exclusive range of fabrics,’ says Jen Barker, Hill Cross Group ceo.
‘I’ve always believed that great design is about storytelling: creating timeless pieces that resonate with people’s lives and homes. Tamarisk has such a strong heritage of British craftsmanship, and I’m excited to help drive its design direction with authenticity, innovation and a renewed creative energy. I’m particularly looking forward to collaborating with the talented team and shaping a fabric and furniture collection that feels truly exclusive and inspiring,’ says O’Flynn, pictured with Barker.
