TFS: A positive start

The first day of a unique edition of The Flooring Show saw the exhibition get off to a positive start.

The show, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, saw better than anticipated levels of visitors for most of the day, and exhibitors commented that, in the main, they were high quality retailers who placed orders.

While experiences obviously varied from exhibitor to exhibitor, some stands had visitors blocking the aisle such was their popularity, while others had plenty to keep sales reps busy.

The mood among exhibitors seemed positive, although many remain unsure if Tuesday will attract numbers.

The show will not open until 1.30pm on Monday after the store funeral of the Queen, but many exhibitors will not be manning their stands during the rest of the day when the show is officially open.
