The Flooring Show has extended a second day of the exhibition as the number of exhibitors which will not man their stands on the day of the state funeral of the Queen continues to grow.
18 September (Sunday) has been extended from 9.30am – 7pm, rather than the original 5.30pm.
On 19 September the show will open at 1.30pm and run to 7pm, rather than the original 9.30am – 5.30pm after discussions with exhibitors over the impact of the Queen’s funeral.
20 September is unchanged at 9.30am – 3pm.
On Tuesday a group of major exhibitors had decided that they would not man their stands on the Monday: Associated Weavers, Balta, Cormar Carpet Company, F Ball, Kellars, Lano, Likewise and Victoria Carpets & Design Floors, along with Metro Group and V4.
All Headlam brands will now also only man their stands on the Sunday and Tuesday.
Organiser Ocean Media says it is ‘still experiencing high numbers of visitor registrations and is on track to exceed last year’s pre-registration numbers.’
