Timothy Oulton dies

Timothy Oulton, Sofa Workshop owner and Halo International and Timothy Oulton founder died last week, the group has announced.

‘This is an incredibly sad time for the entire Halo community, and my heart is with the family as we mourn this loss,’ says James Dilley, Halo cfo, who has become interim ceo.

‘In the weeks and months ahead, I am fully committed to honouring Tim’s legacy in the way I know best – by supporting our teams, executing against Tim’s ambition for the business and driving innovative, sustainable growth for our future. As we begin to move forward together, I am grateful for the support of our experienced leadership team that has worked directly with Tim for many years.

‘Tim’s legacy of creativity, excellence and authenticity will endure. These principles – and an ongoing commitment to the company’s growth agenda – will guide our leadership team as we move forward and drive continued success for the business.’

As well as its manufacturing operations it was expanding its network of Timothy Oulton showrooms across the world. 

In 2018 it opened its global flagship store in the Bluebird, London (pictured).
