The Academy for Excellence in Flooring has opened a new larger training centre.
The first manufacturer-backed facility of its kind in the UK, it is the home of the Quick-Step Master Installer programme, as well as a range of foundation courses in flooring installation. Now in a new warehouse and training centre in Knowsley, Liverpool, installers improving their skills at the Academy can enjoy even better facilities thanks to a completely bespoke fit-out.
The training centre, which replaces the original in Manchester, is part of a new 110,220sqft warehouse facility for Quick-Step that also incorporates distribution, office space and showrooms.
Six training bays, each 13sqm, feature brand new challenges as well as some of the Academy’s most familiar obstacles including curved walls and toilets. Alongside, there’s a state-of-the-art cutting room to minimise dust, automatic heating and cooling and high levels of natural light.
