‘Iconography is home for furniture retailers. With more than 10 years of innovation, development and collaboration within the industry, the platform is now well established amongst successful independents. In recent years, we’ve been supporting businesses both online and in store with OMNIS Retail,’ says Wayne Robbins, Iconography director.

‘This past year it has become even clearer to me that furniture retailers are asking more of their providers when it comes to their digital operation. There is a real frustration with slow development amongst legacy software providers. When new challenges arise, they are finding that a solution is hard won and often a bit of a bodge or workaround. Combined with poor service and poor levels of support, it’s no surprise that furniture retailers are looking for a robust alternative.’
OMNIS Retail is an omnichannel retail platform developed with furniture in mind. ‘We are cutting out disjointed integrations between online, in-store and back-office functions that so often lead to operational inefficiencies like duplicate data entry and inaccurate reporting.
‘Our team are all based locally to our Somerset office and are on hand to guide and support our clients on the phone, via email or through our dedicated support portal. We take note of emerging pain points for retailers and work together to regularly build new features into the platform.’
Robbins says a key development for Iconography in 2025 was its partnership with Staingard to build a module that supports the new banded policies. ‘We recognised the importance of being able to increase average order values with an easy upselling solution for furniture care. Rather than fudge an existing function to achieve this, we worked closely with Staingard and our furniture clients to create something fit for purpose,’ he says.
‘We’re really proud to have OMNIS Retail rolled out to 10 retailers across the UK and Ireland. It’s especially encouraging to see businesses like Haskins fully embrace the platform and streamline its ecommerce operation and bricks-and-mortar processes. Jade Farthing, Haskins md, has told us how they find the ease of back-to-back ordering, goods in, labelling inventory and stock allocation, all in one unified system. ‘We are back at January Furniture Show again this year – you can find Mike Whitman, head of product and Chris Bland, software specialist and I in Hall 1 Stand G25. We are looking forward to meeting furniture retailers looking to improve their online, in-store and back-office retail operations.’
