The Women In Furniture Network (WIFN) has announced plans for three events, after its debut meeting in June.
Centred around empowering and celebrating women, WIFN unites women from across the furniture and design industry to foster meaningful connections, gaining invaluable insights and inspiring leadership.
On 25 October, WIFN will meet in Birmingham for the Mentorship Matters event, at the Iron House art space. This will focus on the importance of mentorship in professional growth and will provide attendees with a platform to connect with experienced industry leaders. It is designed to provide an opportunity for women in the furniture industry to find a mentor or become a mentor, as WIFN facilitates a platform that allows for effective networking helping increase professional growth. Alongside networking, attendees will also hear from leadership, culture consultant and business coach Cheryl Busby.
The next WIFN meeting will be held during the January Furniture Show on 22 January: Speed Networking Spectacle. Keeping with WIFN’s overriding theme of forging connections amongst women in the industry, this event will offer attendees a fast-paced and dynamic environment to make meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and potential collaborators.
This will be followed by a meeting during The Manchester Furniture Show on 11 July: Leadership Unleashed, which will provide a space for visitors to explore and embrace their leadership potential with speakers talking about their career journey and tips on successful leadership.
WIFN has also partnered with eBay to promote diversity, foster growth and create opportunities for women in the furniture industry.
