WIFN confirms speaker line-up

The Women in Furniture Network has confirmed the line-up of speakers for its second event.

The event, to be held at the Iron House Gallery, Ground Floor, 174 Great Hampton Row, Birmingham from 3pm-6pm, on 25 October, will see Emma Botham, Heather Agan de Visser and Zoe Bonser talk on the theme of mentorship and how it can positively benefit a woman’s career in the furniture industry. 

Botham is senior category manager (furniture) at eBay. She has worked at eBay for two-and-a-half years following 10 years of experience buying home textiles. At eBay she is responsible for managing bedroom furniture, working with companies to grow their furniture business on eBay. 

Agan de Visser (pictured), is a speaker, coach and ‘creator of space’. She helps people to connect to their unique inner power, and live life feeling more energised, connected and confident. Working with organisations and individuals, she offers workshops, keynote talks and group programmes. She creates space for people to explore their inner wisdom, teaching simple, effective tools that have life-long impact. She has a talent for getting to the heart of a subject, taking on big topics and making them easy to understand. She combines leadership and listening, philosophy and behavioural science to inspire, support and lead her clients. 

Bonser is Clarion Events retail division portfolio director. She has worked in the events and exhibition industry for more than 20 years. She oversees seven live events in the retail sector including January Furniture Show and Manchester Furniture Show, Home & Gift, Top Drawer Spring and Autumn, Scotland Trade Fair Spring and Autumn. She has successfully launched three networks dedicated to women, latterly the Women in Furniture Network, which aims to improve the visibility of women in the furniture sector as well as providing networking opportunities and access to a new mentoring platform.
