Fara Butt, Sales and Marketing Director of Shire Beds, has won Business Woman of the Year 2022 at the Yorkshire Choice Awards at a ceremony held at the Centenary Pavilion, Leeds. The Yorkshire Choice Awards celebrate the best businesses in Yorkshire and raise awareness and funds for MND.
The judges commended Fara for her involvement in product development and how this has resulted in industry wins including NBF Product of the Year 2021 and Best in British in The Furniture Awards 2022.
Fara was also praised for being committed to supporting the sector and local community. She is on the West Yorkshire Mayoral Task Force, a governor at Kirklees college and Entrepreneur in Residence at Connect Yorkshire. Fara actively supports local causes such as Leeds Big Sleep.
Fara comments, “It is an honour to be recognised for the work I do. I will continue to work in developing the business, playing an active role in the furniture industry and contributing to the Yorkshire community more widely. I am incredibly proud of what the company has achieved over the twenty-five years. Winning top awards this season is a huge affirmation of our products, and our brand in the furniture industry.
