BFM Fabric Show cancelled for 2021

The BFM Fabric Show has become the latest exhibition to be cancelled because of the pandemic.

The show had been planned for 8-9 June at Twickenham.

After extensive consultation with exhibitors, it was clear that the uncertainties surrounding international travel, easing of lockdown restrictions by the UK Government, together with uncertainties around the willingness of visitors to attend and increasing Covid-19 cases in Europe substantially reduced the possibility of a successful fabric show this year. According to the BFM.

‘In the light of the current circumstances it makes sense to postpone the BFM Fabric Show this year. The majority of our exhibitors are based outside of the UK and with cases rising in Europe, it looks increasingly likely that they wouldn’t be able to attend. There is still no certainty that lockdown restrictions will be lifted here by the beginning the June, it therefore makes sense to move the show to 2022 when we can have a full and well attended event,’ says Nick Garratt, BFM md.

The BFM will instead start planning for a 2022 show at its usual timing of late February or early March.  Definite dates and venue will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
