C4 brings heritage brands under one roof

The trio of French heritage furniture brands owned by Pascal Cagni are to be combined under one group as it looks to expand international business.

After buying Maison Lelievre in September 2024, Cagni’s C4 Industries bought Faiencerie de Gien a year later and Duvivier Canapes last November. The three are to be brought under the C4 Manufactures group, while retaining their management.

‘These French maisons, renowned for their exceptional artisanal and industrial savoir-faire, now benefit from a long-term strategic project designed to support their international expansion, backed by an exclusively family-owned and management-led shareholding structure with no constrained exit horizon,’ says the group.

Between them, the trio employ 380 staff and sell to 45 countries.

‘C4 Manufactures marks a new step in our ambition to build a leading player in French Art de vivre, bringing together Craft, Gesture and Material through products designed and manufactured in France. By uniting maisons with strong identities while preserving their heritage, we are creating the conditions for sustainable growth. Over the past nine years, as non-executive chairman of Business France, the national agency dedicated to promoting the French economy and supporting companies internationally, I have become convinced that the long-term future of EPVs depends on their ability to expand internationally,’ says Cagni.

Since C4 Industries became a shareholder, the three companies have seen millions of euros of investment in machinery, sales and customer service.
