Flooring saw retail annual inflation jump in February.
Carpet and floorcoverings saw the rate climb from 1.1% to 1.8% last month, driven by higher carpet and rug prices, according to ONS data.
Those saw inflation of 2%, up from January’s 1.5% but smooth flooring registered its first lack of inflation and deflation for more than a year.
