Interiors venue Redbrick, Leeds Beckett University and retailer Zofa have partnered to showcase a new furniture design.
16 BA (Hons) Product Design students have created eight designs after visits to Redbrick and Vale Bridgecraft, Zofa’s manufacturing arm.
A panel of judges will select one final design for manufacture at Vale Bridgecraft in early 2026, with the finished piece unveiled at Redbrick in February when it is put on sale.
‘The second year of the product design programme has a focus on building professional practice skills to prepare students for work in the creative industry. This wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our partners. Study visits, feedback from professionals and opportunities to develop design work for manufacture within established furniture production environments all add richness to the learning experience of our students.,’ says Robin Brinkworth, Leeds Beckett University senior lecturer of design.
