Drugs for flooring

A Pennsylvanian man has been arrested and remanded in prison after trying to exchange drugs for flooring.

Travis Blake Pfahler, 35, of the town of Altoona told a police informer that he wanted about US$3,500 of flooring stolen from Lowe’s – the flooring retails at about US$70 a box.

In return he offered between three to 10 bricks of fentanyl.

Police purchased 22 boxes of the flooring from Lowe’s and the informer agreed to meet Pfahler. Officers visited Pfahler’s home after took possession of a box of flooring, according to court documents. The informer had been given US$300 and three bricks of fentanyl.

When officers searched Pfahler’s home and pick-up truck they found US$2,900, 138 packets of suspected heroin, an ‘owe’ sheet and two mobile phones.

He was charged with felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Unable to post the US$200,000 bail, he was remanded to the Blair County Prison. He is due to appear in court on 7 February.
