Furniture company Simpson and Liddard has been awarded the prestigious Manufacturing Guild Mark for business excellence by the Furniture Makers’ Company.
Founded in 2019, Simpson and Liddard specialises in luxury interior fitouts for the residential, commercial, education and hospitality sectors. The firm recently completed work on the flagship new Roundhouse Campus creative and digital business hub in Camden.
‘We as a team are incredibly proud to have been awarded the Manufacturing Guild Mark, recognising the standards we all hold and strive to better at every opportunity,’ says Danny Liddard, Simpson and Liddard director.
The firm employs 12 people at its Aveley workshop, including two designers who work with clients producing CAD drawings to create project designs for discussion and approval.
‘I would like to congratulate Simpson and Liddard on its award of the Manufacturing Guild Mark, which really is testament to their credentials as an outstanding British furniture business. Danny and his team impressed us, among other things, with their commitment to continually improving their designs, using feedback from clients and colleagues. They are also dedicated to minimising waste, with all projects planned carefully to ensure the best use of raw materials,’ says Steve Bulmer, Manufacturing Guild Mark chairman.
