The retail value of flooring sales plunged in June.
Sales in England, Scotland and Wales were £49,223,000, a fall of 9.66% compared with May.
Sales were £5.264m lower.
Compared with June 2022, sales were 3.48% higher at £47,566,000, according to Office for National Statistics data.
Of the 450 months since January 1986 when comparable data began, June was the 70th best performing month.
The figures are not seasonally adjusted, do not allow for inflation and are subject to revision.
